The guy is just kidding, nobody is selling Doom yet. Those pictures are fake, probably did them with Photoshop- look closely at the windows and you can tell. Those menus and pictures were ganked straight off of <A HREF="http://www.doom3.com" target="_new">The Doom Website</A> and from fan sites. Keep in mind that stores can get into deep trouble for putting out a product before its release date. id software said that there's a small chance that some bigtime game shoppes may be able to get it on Aug. 2; I'm picking it up at Electronics Boutique on Aug. 3, they have a guaranteed shipment on Tuesday.

Heh, pessimists, You gotta love em. Maybe you should go back and read threw the thread again. Its real, and there are numerous confirmations around the country and those pics are as authentic as you can get. Yes, the BB's that were selling it are in trouble and jobs are at stake and an order was issued to pull the boxes from the floor immediately, but how can you deny the authenticity of those photos unless you just didnt see them all.

Dude... you don't know what you're talking about. The site is a hoax, it's called Adobe Photoshop, you can edit screenshots, check it out some time. The game <i>"ships"</i> on August 3rd, which means that the distributors have it, not the stores; they're not sitting in the back of Best Buy staring at the unopened boxes. The only site that mentions it is theinquirer, and their only reference was the original post.

No Dude, your the one that knows not! I spoke with 3 Best Buys yesterday, they ALL have it, but cannot put it out til tuesday because ID said so. You honestly believe those shots were created with ADOBE? Your HIGH man! Here, heres another thread that should convince you.

Thanks for the link, all I wanted was a legit source of info, not some obscure forum post. It's too bad that it had to leak out like that, but oh well, most of us will just wait and get it when it was supposed to be released.

I've had two weeks off of work, and now that I'm getting Doom on Tuesday I'm going to be at work all day... go figure. :frown:
