I want to add a SIIG PCI/SATA controller and Hitachi SATA HD to my
system (A7V133, XP Home), but the controller won't install. POST shows
the SIIG controller BIOS and HD, but Hardware Wizard says "The system
cannot find the file specified" and Device Manager says "This device
isn't using any resources because it has a problem." SystemInfo reports
the storage controller in error status at IRQ10 (exclusive). I've tried
the card in different slots...same messages. SIIG tech support's advice
was to try changing slots...so much for that. I'm using the current
driver and BIOS from the SIIG site. Any suggestions?

Buy another SATA controller card that works.

Take back the one you hyave and ask for a refund: you've wasted enough time
with unbsuccesfull attempts aided by the manufacturers' tech support staff.

If they can't get it working do you really think anyone else can?
