Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.hardware (More info?)

This condiction happens only on MotherBoard "ASUS P4S533-MX" with USB 2.0
chip "SIS 962L" .

If i pluged a USB device that supported RemoteWakeup, no matter it is a HID
or USB device. They system will be Resume right away after suspend(<10ms)

I had test 2 kind of USB device
one is microsoft optical mouse "p/n x08-99490 pid 58724-576-0740442-0"
another is a general USB device .

also do those testing work.
1 install XP Service Pack a1
2 install the last version of USB host driver (version 102) provide by ASUS
3 re-borning the last version of BIOS contents (veriosn 1006) provide by
ASUS

but nothing chang, that problem still exists.

Contact ASUS about the problem. If they can reproduce the problem, they
may issue a BIOS update to fix it. If you have tried everything you can
think of, then the problem may actually lie in the BIOS.
