Windows CD Burning Support

I've installed NERO CD Burning ROM onto a few PCs running
WinXP. I was told (word of mouth) that when you install
NERO, it effectively disables the WinXP built in CD
Burning support?

Is that true, or do I have a faulty install of WinXP on
these machines?

Don't seem to have that issue on my system. Have Nero (and Roxio, Blind
Write, Disk Juggler and others) installed on my PC. Still no problems using
XP internal burning. Note that these are later versions of the above
software. I believe some very early "XP compatable" versions did effect the
on-board engine.

FWIW,
