When my computer is idle for a long period of time, my mouse pointer
disappears from the screen. This has just occured after installing SP2.
What can be done to fix this problem?

I think he means the hide cursor when typing box. I haven't seen a
vanish option, but this may be available for non MS products?
Anyways, if the device continues working after moving it around for a
bit, don't worry about it. If the mouse never comes back, then you may
want to try installing/reinstalling the latest drivers for your
BlueTooth dongle and mouse.
