When i run the ADD HARDWARE wizard from the Control Panel
of Windows XP, I receive the following message: "Cannot
run two device installations, Another installation is
already in progress. Complete the installation before
proceeding with the install"

I am trying to install printer software and I am not
aware of any other device install. How can I find out
what device is in the process of installing?

it sounds like part of the setup s/w is still running somewhere/how. KPress
CLRT+ALT+DEL and see if you can find mention of it in task manager. If you
can, then use end task and kill it. Then retry installing it using dev man.

failing that, uninstall any remnats of the install s/w from add/remove
programs and control panel and retry it.
