Ok, I got very usual problem. I have 56K modem from 3COM caleed Robotics Pro with special game enchasment. Maximum connection I can get is 31.2K, usually I get 28.8. I red on the box of a modem that it can recieve files at 56K and send at 31.2K. Does that mean that I can get ONLY 31.2K connection? I heard a lot people saying that it is a telephone line probelm, others say server is bad, some people say my modem is not 56K. What is the real problem?

The first thing that you would want to check is that you're dialing into a 56K line for your ISP, not a 33.6K like.

Likely it's the phone line. If you live in the US or Canada, try <A HREF="http://modemupdate.usr.com/56k/need4_56k/linetest.html" target="_new">http://modemupdate.usr.com/56k/need4_56k/linetest.html</A> to see what the max speed of your line is. I've used it serveral times at different locations and it's been right every time.
