If nothing else works, try reseating the motherboard in the case and
the heatsink. I had weird problems with my computer, usually failing
to POST after reboot, complaining about overclocking the CPU and CMOS
getting reset. Luckily I had a friend who worked at a computer store
who had experience with this motherboard. All I had to do was loosen
all of the screws holding the motherboard and reseat the heatsink and
everything's fine (except for the Marvel LAN driver, heh).

Good luck.

The Marvell Gigabit LAN driver 8.35.2.3 is bad. What version of
driver are you using ?

Indeed it is. I was troubled with and puzzled by random lock-ups - most
notably, a complete refusal to wake up after running overnight - on an
A8V Deluxe with a clean install.

I reverted to the Marvell Gigabit LAN driver that came on the
motherboard installation disk - version 7.14, I believe - and the
problem went away completely.

Good Luck

Thanks the old driver is doing fine, no reboots, not brave enough to try the
latest as suggested. Now too tighten up the ram timmings abit and I will be
good to go....
Thanks :)
