I have a Laserjet 5 on my network using a thin ethernet card. Printing from
XP OK. Now I can share this printer on my network and print to it from my
networked Win ME laptop, all works OK but of course I need to switch on my
XP machine to print. I wish to add the network printer to ME so that I can
print to it over the thin ethernet ( direct to the printer ) without the XP
machine being switched on. HP do a prog to allow this but the card I have in
the LJ5 is not HP jetdirect card ( not HP at all ) and their prog wont see
it. Does anyone have any recomendations to allow me to add the LJ5 to ME
allowing me to print over the thin ether ( ie without the XP mach swiched
on ). This is easy to do in XP but not in ME.
thanks - Colin
