Perhaps it's because there are no problems. I've had mine (Premium
with wifi) for several months and I have absolutely no issues with it
at all. It's the best mobo I've ever had, and something I can grow
into instead of my previous buying habits of buying something that is
practically outmoded before it is used.

My only issue is with the intel cpu fan. The cpu runs around 58-65
degrees, which, while is within normal limits for the 3.2 64bit cpu,
is about 10 degrees hotter than anything I've ever used before. With
high cpu useage and temps approaching 70 degrees, the fan sounds like
a jet engine ready to take off.

I'm ready for 1066 FSB when available at a decent price. :-)

I had this same problem with P5GD1.

Go to page 4-36 of your motherboard manual. Enable CPU Q-FAN Control. Set
sub items accordingly.

You may want to also try AI Quiet and compare with CPU Q-FAN Control.

Please let us know how each option works out.

Thanks, Vern

I don't see my reply to this message here, maybe I 'Reply'de instead of
'Reply Group'd. Either case, I'll repeat it again because I have had a
problem with the P5WD2.

I purchased a P5WD2 and installed it. I chose the P5WD2 for its RAID 5
option and general features. Had high expectations. Installation looked
good, RAID 5 running and everything looked fine until I installed MS SP2 and
then it stopped upon the restart. Now I am stuck at the ASUS Logo screen.
Tried to enter the
BIOS setup and couldn't short of disconnecting all the hard drives. As soon
as I hookup the drives again, it's lockup time again. I am going to call
them tomorrow, Monday. Hope your experience is better than mine.

I sent them an email instead and expect an answer with 48 hours, hopefully.
