Everytime I try to play something with sound it says that
my sound device isn't working properly. I think it may be
because I reset my computer but I'm not sure how to re-
start the sound device.

What does "reset my computer" mean?
Can you see your sound card in device manager, and does it show any errors?
You may need to go to the hardware mfr's website to download the latest
WinXP driver and reinstall it in device manager if so.
