My WinXP task manager shows no network data flow when there is a lot
of network traffic.

I have looked for some sort of logging config in WinXP without
success.

In task manager have bytessent/interval and bytesreceived/interval
ticked.

Used to work with my old PC and a PCI network card.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Fixed... Uninstalled the NVidia network and firewall manager.

Had trouble with the NVidia Firewall a few days back so that was
disabled anyway.

Using the Sygate Firewall (free one)
