Lexmark 5600

I cannot scan anything. I have uninstalled and restalled Lexmark 56oo and still cannot scan. It keeps saying "cannot retrieve application list"

Did you check your device manager to see if this is coming up on your machine? Though it doesn't come up on Windows Compatibility Center: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Search.aspx?l=en-us&type=Hardware&s=Lexmark%205600%20

You may want to see if it's compatible with Windows 7 through the manual or the manfacturer's website.
