Appreciate help or any suggestions. I have a P4VXASD2+ mainboard with
Windows 98SE. I attempted to put XP on the system and it failed to load.
No problem, I thought, I'll just go back to Windows98SE after reformatting
the drive in FAT 32 once again and using a Ghost image. The Ghost image
installed successfully. But now on boot up I get the information that the
NVRAM is Write Protected. This message never appeared before the failed XP
attempt and I suspect that somehow XP has write protected the NVRAM. I
would like to un-write protect this chip. Resetting the BIOS doesn't affect
this chip and there doesn't appear to be any way to do it with mainboard
jumpers or with the system BIOS options. I'm open to suggestions on how to
un-write protect the NVRAM on this board. Thanks. J
