K7VTA3 V1
XP Pro.

Several weeks ago I built this PC with this MB and XP2600.
Everything works and runs as designed and expected. I have had
no problems except this one which popped up a few days ago.
This unit will not go into standby - the unit is running and by this I
mean the fans are going and seems to be operating but there is no
HD activity when I want to resume. I must restart, either by the
power switch or reset.
Inasmuch as this only began a few days ago I presume it is/was
caused by something I did or an application installed. I cannot
find a reason though I strived.
Can someone help?

What power saving modes do you have it set for in Bios
and in Windows XP.

Tod:
I had it set originally to enter standby after xx minutes but since
this problem arose I have removed the standby selection.
As it is now - after 15 minutes monitor and HD activity stop and
standby is set to 'never'.
