Folks
I have been experiencing great quality prints using the I950, canon inks and
canon papers. I have made no changes I can recall but all of a sudden I
have the printer spitting out perfect prints except for the colour range.
It seems to have taken on a purple pinkish tinge. Very slight but enough to
throw things. I have tried a reinstall of the drivers and the like but to
no avail. I am using Canon Easy Photoprint but have tried through other
printing programs. Still the same problem. I have deep cleaned etc but to
no avail. When I use the default settings as I used to, in the printer
settings ICM was turned off. Should I turn this on and would it make any
difference.

I would leave ICM turned off Have you used programs such as photoshop
or other printing software that is changing the print profile? Have
you changed the print profile in anything else? That may be your
trouble.
Install a basic srgb profile to the print drivers itsself and see if
that clears up.
I know if I use the profile that Redriverpapers.com recommends for
their papers, I get a magenta overcast. So I stick with the basic srgb
profile for all my printing.
