I have a Lexmark X125. I would like to use the black cartridge refilled by
myself when it empties. Whenever I try to do this the printer does not allow
me to use the cartridge and continuously pops up a message saying "Replace
Black Cartridge". The cartridge definitely works since it allows me to print
a status report flawlessly but the printer will not allow me to do anything
else. Does anyone know of a way of tweaking the Lexmark printer itslef or
the cartridge into making it believe it is a new cartridge? Thanks in
advance.

sound like your cartridge has 'died' electronically, You will need to
replace the cartridge.
