I am using Windows XP Home and I am trying to install the printer and
when it gets to installing the drivers I get a dialog box with the
following message.
" Printer driver was not installed. Cannot create a file when that file
already exists"
I have tried uninstalling the software but that did not work. Any help
would be appreciated. Thanks.

When you choose to install, check where the drivers and files are
supposed to be written to. You may just want to go to that directory and
cut all of the files in that directory into a temporary folder until you
can figure out if that is the problem or not. I would also recommend
checking on Canon's website for an updated version of the software as it
may have a better written install program that either overwrites the
files or updates them.
