I have the N2U400-A ECS mobo with an Athlon XP 2600+ cpu (I got that
$74.99 deal at Fry's) and it works great, but theres one problem that
erks me: I have several different soundcards, I only use one at a
time. Before getting my computer upgrade, the controller (PROPAD 6,
from InterAct) has worked perfectly fine. After setting up the new
board and all, windows can't detect any controllers from the gamports
of either of my soundcards. I disabled the AC'97 audio and I have the
latest drivers for my cards, along with the latest BIOS update, and
I'm running on WIN98SE, which also has all the updates I should need.
Anyone else have a similar problem and a solution? The controllers
work fine on my brother's computer, and I tried switching out the
soundcards and they work fine on his, so I don't see what the problem
could be other than my windows install or the motherboard.
