MN-720 ans XP SP2

I have a friend who has a belkin router, and an MN-720 network card. The
card works with the router when plugged into a laptop that does not have
SP2, but fails to install and work with her laptop that has SP2 installed.
Is there a fix for this device and where do I find it for her?

Sure, configure the XP SP2 firewall. Control Panel/security
center> firewall.

What in the firewall settings would prevent her from seeing the router?
The install wizard does not 'see' the card and therefore does not complete
the install process. Card is green in the device manager.
