Hi,
did anybody make the K7S5A pro work with wake-on-ring? I have some
strange effects there: When the computer is off (software-off) and it
receives a ring signal there is no reaction at all. While i.e. wake on
keypress does work reliably.
Then I boot up the machine by pressing the power button. After the RAM
and harddisk scans etc. it starts the boot loader. Preesing the power
button again at that moment seems to turn the machine off, but the AC
fan remains running. When I send a ring signal now the machine continues
booting at exactly the same point: the boot loader.
Anybody knows in which state the mainboard is in that case? Can I reach
it back out of a running system with any ACPI function to be able to
wake the computer up by wake-on-ring? Or anybody knows another fix how
to make wake-on-ring work when the computer is off?
Thanks a lot,
Carsten
