I am unable to install windows8 Pro with the preview version installed

I have been trying to upgrade to windows8 pro from the windows8 preview build 8400. I am not able to install the new software that I purchased. What do I need to do?

Delete the previous Windows 8 partition and reformat.

A couple months ago i was scraping an old computer to build a new one. and had to get a new copy of Win7, It wouldn't let me install the new windows (had to do this as i changed the mobo, which rendered the OEM copy of 7 broken) and to get it to install i had to reformat the harddrive and delete the partions on it.

the big question is, does the OP now how to do that?
