Epson Stylus Photo 750 advice please

Hi,

Just removed the printhead to clean as, after little use and employing
some unbranded cartridges from eBay, I find it impossible to perform a
successful nozzle clean.

The thing is, I found a loose piece of oiled felt behind a spring
(location found indicated in following image) and don't know where it
should go.

Also shown in the image is a paper-like object that has it's angled tab
folded down and curled up. It doesn't look 'comfortable' fitted the way
it is and wonder if the tab should lay flat. It's somewhat brittle and
has started to fracture at the fold (fold indicated by dotted line).
