Zebra BarCode Printer Problem

Hi all,

I have a problem when using Zebra Printer with using ZPL Language.

I create a text file which containing the ZPL, and copy it to the LPT
port to print a BarCode Label. However, sometimes the printer doesn't
response seems like nothing had been sent. I notice that it is usually
the first time I start printing would happen this problem after the
printer has been idle for a long time.

Is it beacause the printer is in idle state and hence not responsing?
Or what is the real reason? How can I prevent it?
