K7S5A Duron Random Stop Errors

I'm running an un-modified 1.3 Duron with 512 Mb of memory. The system
is about 2 years old. About 4 months ago, I started to get BSOD errors
- all different, so it doesn't point to a specific area.

The machine fails about 1-2 times per week. Sometime it fails
immediately after startup and other times, after running for 12 hours.
After a restart, it's fine. Running the Prime95 test, the machine fails
after 10 hours (but no BSOD).

Temperature monitors show the CPU from 44-50 C and the case about 25C.
So far, I have:
- Changed the memory out
- Swapped out drive cables

Any suggestions as to what to try - other than seeing if the PC can fly
from the 3rd story!

Hi.
Might be your power supply.
Type 'k7s5a 0000009c' into google groups. Is this one of the errors? I
my problem by upgrading to an Athlon XP. Might be something to do with
the capacitors on the board.

Try using memtest86 and test your memory. www.memtest86.com

I had a stick of Crucial ram die a slow death a while back, took me
some time to sort out what the culprit was, b/c the ram would work,
sometimes. Not until it totally failed did I find the culprit. Run
memtest86 overnight one night.
