Does anyone out there know if the K7SEM 1.0 can take Sempron processors?
The official support list stops at XP 2200+.

Also, are there any hacked or beta BIOS files for this board? If so then
where can I get them.

Thanks

EEE

very likely, Semprons use the same thoroughbred core the athlon 2200
used. Only problem is that they will be slower, because of the k7sem's
266 mhz bus. semprons normally run on 333 mhz buses

Thanks Brian, I'm trying to put together a system for AV use. I already
had this board and alot of old PC133 memory so it is the path of least $$$.

Do you know if there are any issues with AGP cards on this board?

Thanks

EEE

Nothing major on the AGP, just make sure you get the latest SIS AGP
drivers, and you should be set. I think it only does AGP 2x, maybe 4x,
but not a real issue. 8x is useless.

If you were thinking about doing AV, I would get another motherboard. But
if you are on the cheap, and you got pc133 memory, this is the way to go.
