Does the K7S5A Pro supports 512MB DDR modules with just 8 memory chips, so
single-sided?

Thanks.

If the DRAM chips (i.e. DRAM technology) are organized as 64Mx8, then
it should work. But if they are 128Mx4, I do not believe SIS735
supports x4 DRAM.

Any large capacity modules (512MB and larger) is something of a gamble
on K7S5A, but I've had good luck with Elixir Original memory modules.
I recommend sticking with the industry standard 2.5V memory that is not
design for high performance or overclocking; Elixir Original, Kingston
Value RAM, Viking Components, Crucial, PNY, Apacer, Spectek, etc.

I finally managed to get a double-sided Elixir module, instead of a
single-sided one, however thanks for your reply!
