I sit back and watch all these riots going on in many of the arab or muslim countries against the west or western ideas. Even some in the western countries. (Not only the cartoon thing ) copies of the Muslim holy book were found lying in a drain in the Bhatta chowk area. abu ghraib beatings etc...
There response:
Pictures of bush as a dog, anti israel signs ,(holocaust is a lie etc) europe or scandinavian death threat,s suicide bombings, burning down of kfc buildings or anything related to the us. burning flags. Burning of cars in france . 9/11, bombs in spain , england australia or many other countries. ETC ETC ETC
The interesting thing is when i see a big natural disaster happen to them or anyone eg:
Tsunami eartquake & flooding .
Most big earthquake disasters or floods famine, in Iran, Pakiskan, india Turkey many other placers
Whos there first to HELP THEM, to give them AID, Food, SHELTER, Medical supplies ,People, Money
You know its the YANKS ENGLAND AUSTRAILIA First then new zealand some euro countries japan and other asian ones etc. and a few others
How many Arab countries do you hear or that are there first .....F*** all.
Yet when those countries make a mistake, its Death to the the WEST.
If they hate the west so much and there western ideas
STOP USING ALL THERE DAM STUFF!!!
Computers, cars, phones medical tech, and on and on
NO cause they are a bunch of hypocrites COKE is evil but please save my children from cancer, please feed me , please help rebuild my cities, etc
Wake up you Bastards Stop the brain washing. look with your own eyes before you judge someone. one western man doesnt speak for all western people.
Heres apoint. Maybe one of those people blown up might of been the one that could of saved you kid from under a earthquake building or dying of a disease or drowning. did u think about that?
Why dont you good muslims help to stop those things???
My hat comes off to the USA and others for still helping out muslims, no matter what they do to you.
What goes around will catch up and come around.
THE END
You watch too much news...
You're watching the worst of it, you're not seeing the best of it though. If there isn't blood or drama, it won't make the news.
Qatar, within hours of Katrina in the US, donated $100 million to the US.
I don't believe there have been too many protests in Saudia Arabia or that whole pennisula.
Where are we seeing the violence? Pakistan & Iran mainly. Afghanistan from what I've seen has died down.
Iran, anti-western, has people inciting these. Pakistan is over run with former taliban and Bin Laden/AQ supporters.. thus, the riots against the western culture.
History will tel the truth. In the past, the US and other countries have pulled out to leave them alone.. which only caused problems. We stay and we're staying now. Yet, it's still causing problems. But this way, something hopefully comes out of it.
We stay out of it, it's our fault. We get into it, it's our fault.
/shrug
NO protests in saudi arabia....that i know of
Yeah, I like you guys.. You have a good balance of things and you're not all chanting Death to America.. that earns ya brownie points.
Ara, I'm a mad horse racing fan and of course Saudi Arabia has a proud history of racing. In this lifetime I definitely want to Dubai for the major races over there. You ever been?
Ok firstly i'd like to say i don't support the protests that are being done by the "minority" of people.
but i would like to mention the hypocracy of some of the things you are noticing. you are seeing things aimed at you, so are reacting, but you are not seeing the other direction.
both sides of the argument are stirring shit, and this is causing 'more' tension. untill both sides realise they are stirring shit, and are not better than the other side, we will get nowhere.

i have seen a heck load of muslim leaders being portrayed as animals
before, and after the cartoons... heck it was pictures that started this last round of anger on both sides.

Recently a "minority" of Iseali's was involved in hostile violence in settlements. many of these people are so stuck in the belief that God gave them Isreal that they believe palistinians don't have any rights, and these people often say anti arab statements similar to nazi holocaust statements.
again, its a minority, but there is a volcal minority on both sides, the ones everyone focuses on.

after 9-11, a number of mosques (spelling?) were attacked by westerners. and muslims were targetted for hate crimes. yes even in my country.
1 or two people did it.... again a minority
in australia there have been violent crimes against, and by muslim communities. this is still a minority of australians, even though the numbers are big enough for violent mobs.
If you actually care to look at the human side of things, you will realise "most" people want peace. but news doesn't want peace, they want violence, they want real life to be like a movie. so they focus on the negative like any action film.
for all the car crashes, robberies, and violent attacks i have seen on the news, i have never in my life seen a real one of them.
i was involved in a protest. 99.9% of people went home. about 20 people at the end had a punch up with the police. guess what made the news.... it certainly wasn't the 99.9% of people.
i am sick of all this Anti-muslim shit that everyone is throwing around the place. and i am sick of the News focusing on the Anti-western minority.
it doesn't help the world go round at all.

You're young, very young If I'm not mistaken.

Nice quote. Relevant and true. A whole bunch more than mine.
I'd wager Jefferson would have loved a crack at Hussein. His trial is a mockery of justice.

| Quote : s an adult, Jackson was six feet tall, but never weighed over 145 pounds [7c]. His thin frame actually saved his life in the 1806 duel with Charles Dickinson. Dickinson was an expert marksman, while Jackson was neither a quick shot nor an epecially good one. Jackson decided not to compete with Dickinson for the first shot, but to take the hit, and rely on his willpower to sustain himself until he could aim deliberately and shoot to kill. On the day of the duel, Jackson wore a dark blue frock coat and trousers of the same material. Dickinson got a shot off first, as Jackson had planned. James [4c] describes what happened:

heheh he also took a saber to the forehead, and shot a man on the white house lawn for treason.... 8)
In my opinion, it's the minorities that mess things up. I bet that almost all Muslims, Christians, and Jews could live together peacefully, but it's that 1% that stir up the hate and anger. It only takes one person to start a mob. The minority just has to be vocal and effective.
I've been to Monticello & seen the sights.... Amazing to me... Just the miles he traveled in a horse & buggy when he was Pres., amazing... He had all kinds of things there.... I could go on & on...

yeah he was truly amazing, he would probably be my second favorite prez.
Who's your first???
that would have to be george washington.
| Quote : Qatar, within hours of Katrina in the US, donated $100 million to the US. |
Right on. Kuwait also donated $500 million in oil as well. It didn't really help, but it's the thought that counts I guess.
A clear distinction should be made between countries like UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Yemen, and to some degree Jordan and Pakistan. Generally speaking, it's the non democractic muslim countries that are the biggest pain in the ass. Saudia Arabia has been called an ally- and they are to some degree. But their government is far, far from democratic. This is why Islamic Extremists are prevalent there. (in my opinion anyways)

I hear what ya saying dude, some do help but im talking about "most of the time" the us, england australia & a few others are always there to help out in a disaster no matter what country has it.
but its not the same with arab countries helping the states, england or australia.
when 9/11 happened many muslims danced in the street cheered laughed, what the hell is that about ,
same with the england bus bomb and others.

Even more so is why do they go to live in the us ???? but hate the us
Its like eating meat, i love cows, hate killing animals, but i have to kill them to get the meat....immmmmm its a confusing dilemma.
well not really, but you know what i mean.

I am not saying they didn't
all i am saying is that "no one's side has bloodless hands"
for every injustice caused by a muslim, you will find an injustice caused by a westerner (and much of it is moraly relative).
the cartoons are not in isolation, you think they are bitching about the cartoons, i think the issues run much deeper, and whoever puts "all" the responsibility onto one side will "always" lose the argument. for groups of muslim leaders to go around talking it up, you know there is a culture of hatred.... is hatred ever created in isolation?
just like the west is judging muslim countries for not being democracies... sure everyone wants democray, but when Hamas won they got all pissed off (like you have). you do have the right to an opinion. but if Hamas proves itself to be above terrorism once it is in power then it desirves the chance to try. at least there are diplomatic routes to discuss things and deflame situations rather than causing more issues.
i can understand you feel personally threatened by the Palistinian bombers and such, however how much are you influenced by your proximity to it, does this make your opinion more valid, or more biased? does a palistinian who has lost their friend to an isreal gunship attack have less of a right to dislike isrealis, than you dislike palistinians? you tell me.
i am not trying to devalue the death of your friend. i do not support "any" death from either side. I just argue against anyone who thinks they have more rights to live than anyone else. and anyone who is so hypocritical as to think the enemy is all wrong and they are all right.
and yes people like NZers...... in NZ, since we have nothing anyone wants except space. its sadly a bit hard to ask for everyones Passport before killing them. hense i think nobody should be killing anyone. but who is gonna be the bigger side and back down first.

I think the best way to find out why Muslims (the minority across the world BTW) hate the US, is to ask them why.
find some academics who are in a position to actually reply and know what they are talking about, people who can speak objectively and not subjectively, then you will have your best chance of an answer.
we will "never" reach peace till we talk and communicate. violence leads to violence, but talking and really listening to what people are having issues with is likely to calm them down.
We were having huge issues with our University, conflict didn't work, so we started talking to the lecturers and discussing what we disliked. they recently made a bad decision that pissed off the students, most students wrote a petition saying they were pissed off (didn't really say why) i emailed the lecturer saying "why" they were pissed off, in an objective manner.
they instantly changed their decision based on the real reaons and not the symptoms.
nobody will ever have peace and ignore the other side.

i eat meat also. funnily enough for every 1Kg of beef you eat, you produce 10Kg of greenhouse gases. vegitarians are good in stopping that.... but meat is so tasty.

OK here we go again
A guy wears a t-shirt with the cartoon on it ,the arabs protest, 10 more people now die.
Do me a favour, Please keep protesting.
" stupid "
So now its israel and the US thats to blame for the cartoon thing, according to the muslims
well it took them long enough.
The Quran says:
Fight in the cause of God against those who fight you, but do not transgress limits. God does not love transgressors. (2:190)
Killing innocent people i think transgresses limits.
but i guess common sense would tell most people that............most!
Anyone here signed up for the suicide conference in irak
no money back, guaranty
A quote taken from "fifty things Ive learned in fifty years"
" A hundred-billion years from now, just before the sun goes supernova, when the earth is a smoking cinder , and the only surviving forms of life left are single celled organisms, the single celled organisms in the middle east will be bitter enemies"
Unless youve dealt with middle eastern muslims personally, you can never truly understand how deep seated and pure the hatred is that they have for each other and the Isralies. They do not hate the US for hates sake, they hate the US when they believe the US is favoring or aiding one over the other. And they always believe the US is aiding or favoring one over the other.
