does anyone know if the ECS KM400-M2 3.0 Socket A motherboard can handle a
athlon xp 2800 or 3000 (barton core and 333 on fsb) I can get both at newegg
for $145-155 and use my memory.

also if use 512mb ddr pc2700 and 256mb ddr pc2100 will the cpu run at full
333mhz or slow down to 266

ecs is pretty good at keeping their bios up to date the 2800 & 3000
should work fine.
you’d be best to run with just the 512 stick@333fsb.
