Using XP

I know little about this board as I got it 2nd hand.

it did not come with a driver CD so tried and installed the sound
drivers off the website...

However I just can’t get sound to work. It is enabled in the bios.

The drivers seem to load and when runing a .wav for example soundrec
will come up and show the wav but no sound will come out and only a
second or two of the wav seems to be processed.

Any ideas where I can get a copy of the original drivers from?

down load the manual. there are jumpers for the audio rear or front
panel connection. if those jumper aren’t there or set for the front
your rear out won’t work.

also check in control panel multimedia/sound make sure mute is engaged
also the mixer, etc.
