Hello,

I have LG's CED-8081B CD-RW that I can't seem to get working on Windows XP.
The system detects it as a new hardware but then it gives the following
message:

"Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration
information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)"

I used to have Roxio on my computer but I have uninstall it a while ago and
I don't have the software any more to reinstall. I thought that for simple
reading CD's I did not need any special software.

Any suggestions?
Thank you
Leo

Remove then reinstall the drivers and other software for the drive. As the
Windows dialog inferred, there is damage to the registry regarding this
piece of hardware.
