I used to use tiny, which was great, nice and simple

However, for my free f/w i've now switched to zonealarm [cough] pro, which i used to hate, but now get along with ok [glowers at PC] we understand each other [holds fist menacingly]

As for AV s/w, they all bug me, but i'm using Norton AV atm

I'm sure if a terrorist organisation attacked various IT resources on a Friday evening, they'd do ok, seeing as every Norton AV machine would be bogged down in a scan! :0(

Hence if you use NAV, remember to change the schedule (Friday afternoon? eeeJits!)

I use AVX(AntiViruseXpert), it has a firewall and antivirus in one program(murphy). It has been very stable overall since I bought it 2 years ago.

I have good experience with Norton Antivirus. I have been using it for serveral years. It have have stop the virus a serveral time and my computer never infected by any virus.

I'm also on Road Runner, I use Zone Alarm Pro and Nortons Anti-Virus, both programs have Email filters so you get your mail double checked.

i use sygate personal firewall. Its free, and easy to use if you have a very basic understanding of which programs you want to be able to access the internet. I use it on all the systems i build/configure for people.

Also, Norton AV does the job nicely for me. I dont like using realtime protection and i can just turn that bit off.
