Windows live mail not responding

A couple of weeks ago, there was an update to live mail, and after that live mail would not repspond. After several uninstalls/reinstalls, including uninstalling live security essentials and reinstalling that, it finally started responding. A few days ago, there was another update, and same problem came up. I have unistalled live mail at least three times and have uninstalled live security essentials and reinstalled everything, and still cannot get mail to respond. How do I fix this?

That's a very odd issue with the updates. Have you tried to do a system restore to see if Live Mail would respond after setting it to a point before you had these issues?

O.K. This will sound stupid, but how do I do a system restore? I don't want to mess anything up.

O.K. I did a restore and had to go back to January 28. My live mail is working properly now. What happens if new updates occur again? Is this problemn going to keep happening, everytime there's an update?
