Hi,

Specs at Bottom

I have just bought myself a copy of Battlefield 3 and pre-ordered MW3

My aims are simple, to record gameplay, both single and multi-player

Where i have a constant high (playable + a little more) FPS and no Graphical Lag
I will be recording with a Paid Version of FRAPS.

I am willing to spend £450 over the next 3-4 months upgrading my PC, (Acer Aspire Predator Defender)

Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) 9750 Quad-Core Processor (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM <-- When i render on Vegas i run out of memory, even with very small edits (30Secs = still nothing)
Hard Drive: 310 GB x2 <- Hot Swappable Hard Drives
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 (3D and Eco-Friendly) <-- dropping 3D for better fps and gaming in general
Monitor: Acer 26" (1920x1080)

Which of these should i improve, please supply:

Price
Name
Link
Size of Increase ( Small, Medium, Large, Must Have )

I must add the 460 is a 3D and Eco-Friendly card which is not ideal
Could you supply links to a GPU and CPU i should buy? and maybe more ram i need some for
editing with vegas as a run out of memory. i ask as i dont know what to buy because this is my first time upgrading.

Will you need to know my power supply?

Yes, I would need to know about your PSU.
Well, since you're probably having an AM2+ board, you'll need to upgrade to an AM3/AM3+ board.

GIGABYTE GA-M68MT-S2

About $55
You won't be able to SLi though with that motherboard.

CPU- AMD Phenom IIX4 970 Black edition

RAM- Corsair Vengeance 2X4 GB

Two Things
PSU? Power Supply? would this be what you want:
Power Provided : 750 Watt

GPU? "Speccy" says it is GF104

I am unsure about this one - Package Socket AM2+ (940)

Dont keep things cheap, little upgrades dont need em... i am willing to spend up to £450 (GBP)

raps is a universal Windows application that can be used with games using DirectX or OpenGL graphic technology.Take a screenshot with the press of a key! There's no need to paste into a paint program every time you want a new shot. Your screen captures are automatically named and timestamped.

Thank you for taking your time to write that.. However,

I know what it is and how it works, i need to know what i need to upgrade on my pc to allow FRAPS to keep a high fps while recording

ASUS Sabertooth 990FX
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131736
Price- $189
It has support for AM3+ CPUs. But I'd stick with the Phenom IIX4
That's a good board.

However, do tell me if you're willing to look at a LGA 1155 board. More specifically a 2500k.

if that's the case
GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3

Pirce- $169

CPU
i5 2500k
It'smore expensive than a P IIX4 970 but it's significantly faster.
