My Athlon XP1800+ runs @ 133Mhz FSB. I want to be able to OC it to either
166 or maybe even 200.
My DDR is PC3200 DDR400. Anyone who knows this board and chip please give
me their experience with this.
Please be as specific as possible about the bios changes.

You haven't said what board and chipset you are using.

Same board as mine, then! Your best bet is to buy a Mobile Athlon
of probably XPM2500+ as it is unlocked and run that at 200MHz fsb.
Then you can play with the multiplier and get into the 3200+ area. This
is what I have.

These CPUs are cheap in Europe and should be the same in CA.
The XP1800+ is locked and there's a lot of messing about to bypass
the links.

The article in the Miscellanea section of my website describes various
things I did when building my XP1800+ in an EPoX EP-8KHA+ m/b.

Depends what flavour of 1800- get cpu-z it will tell you what flavour of
core it is. If its a thoroughbred B core it ain't locked. I am running a TB
B 1700+(see below) at 2.04 ghz on an epox 8rda+ and I could increase it even
more but I am happy with that. Granted you will never hit fsb of 200 without
additional cooling on the chipset. Just remember run the memory at same
speed as fsb and agp locked at 66mhz.

Try small steps say multiplier of 10 X fsb of 150(ok slightly
nderclocked) - run prime 95 for a while - no errors - fine bump fsb up by
5. You might need to increase voltages if system starts to become unstable
and/or relax memory timings

Even if he has a locked cpu he can still overclock by uping the fsb.
