I have a wifi printer plugged into a non-wifi desktop. I just bought a laptop (win7) and also had wifi internet installed. How can I access the printer wirelessly from the laptop?

Thanks but that didn't work either. The printer itself will search and find my wifi network name ok, says it's a strong connection, takes my password, but then says it's unable to connect. I get the same thing when trying to connect a Wii console to the wifi - I think I'm not understanding this wireless stuff. Maybe a call to my isp is in order.

If you read the printer manual, I'm sure they go over how to connect it to your wireless router. The way you will have it connected is the printer will talk to the wireless router, the PC and laptop will also hook up to the router, and both will see the printer. You will need to get the IP of the printer to use in setting up the drivers on your computers. The manual will go over that as well.
