I have a Mac OS X connected to a Brother MFC-9120cn All-In-One printer. I disconnected the usb cable to try to print from my laptop. Didn't Work. I reconnected the usb to the MAc and now I get a message saying the printer is offline. HELLLPPP!!!
That printer only has a Ethernet network interface, no wireless. Not sure if that is what you were trying when you disconnected it in the first place. As for the offline message, try turning the printer on and off again. If that doesn't work go into your system preferences->Print & Scan-> then hit the + button in the bottom left(like you were going to add a new printer), then see if it is listed in the default menu. If it is then your computer is detecting the printer and all you will need to do is remove the old one(use the - sign instead of the + sign) and then re-add the printer from that default menu (use the + sign again).
