Where will I find information on how to Format my hard drive with an update
of Win.XPPro and no Start-up disk?

Is there a way of making a Start-up Disk on Windows XP?

Thank you all.

The start-up diskette are available from Microsoft's web site. You should
only use these diskettes is your PC does boot from the CD drive.

BTW: If you are updating XP Pro with SP2 (or SP1(a)), you do not have to
re-format your hard drive.

Correction, you only need to use the floppy boot set IF YOUR
computer cannot boot from a CD. Most computers built in the
last 5-8 years will boot from the optical drives. Check
your BIOS.

The XP CD will boot and will allow you to format the hard
drive.
