After BIOS update to GA-8I845GV (P4-1.9Ghz- win2k) there is no signal to the
monitor, the hd and processor fan spin but thats about all thats happening.
I used q-flash to update with "8i845gv.f3" extracted from
"bios_8i845gv_f3.exe" downloaded from gigabyte website. Everything went as
in the manual up to the point where it said "Copy Bios completed - pass!"
and then after the restart it never woke up again.
Could anyone please help?

Hi,
I just ran into this same situation.
Did you ever find a solution?

if my guess is right, you need to do a blind flash.. I had to do it once...
not fun... the floppy should still be able to boot a floppy with the proper
bat commands to do it.
KK
PS... unless you have a dual BIOS setup.

Are you trying to say that even with a dead BIOS you can somehow flash it again to restore function? That seems unlikely.
I just had the same problem with the same board, and to me it just looks like a dead machine now.
I think whomever is designing these BIOS flash utilities and update files is either an idiot or has a vested interest in people buying replacement motherboards.
In either case, don't buy another motherboard from the same manufacturer who board died on you because of a bad BIOS flash!
