this is my frist time tring to flash my BIOS (yes i have read all the
warnings)

I have a giga-byte GA-7dx

after downloading the 7dx f8 file from giga-byte.com i copyed the files to a
floppy and rebooted. The boot sequence stoped at the floppy but only asked
me to "remove all disks" and "press any key". I tryed runing the
autoexec.bat file inside windows (XP Home) and i got to the flash program
and it gave me the following error messages in order

1)chipset not supported press any key
2) the flash part is not supported press any key
3)make sure the flash is not portected press any key

then it entered the program

even after checking the BIOS and making sure the flash protection was off I
sill get the same results. reading the websites PDF files I can tell you
that my current BIOS version is GA-7dx F3. I`ve read messages about revision
numbers but don`t know how to find mine. I recall reading a sight that
talked about a number along the bottom of the screen telling you waht BIOS
you had/needed that number for me is 05/24/2001-7DX-6A6S6609C-00

Can someone please help? I am hoping in the near future to upgrade my
Athlon1.4ghz to the 2100+ (max supported according to thier website) if I
can get the flash to work. or do I even need to flash?
