I wad cleaning out all the files on my hard drive and unknowingly deleted the
sound device on my computer do u know how I could get new ones

Simply restart the computer,xp will reinstall it on next restart.

I tryed restarting my computer but media play is still saying that I do not
have any sound cards installed. do you know where I could obtain a sound card.

You still have a sound card.. you don't have XP drivers.. look on any of the
CDs supplied with your system..
