Nintendo applies for voice to text software patent

Nintendo of America filed for a patent to cover voice to text chat conversion. Patent application 20060025214 was filed in July 29, 2004 with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), but has only appeared on the agency's website recently. I installed the drivers shipped with the mainboard. The microphone wasn't
not working. I installed the original nForce drivers - same. The microphone
is fine, checked on another PC. It is selected in Sound properties as the
recording device, volume is set to full level...

What's wrong? Are there another drivers that can fix this problem?
