I recently tried to update the Award BIOS on a GA-6VXE7+ using @BIOS.

Unfortunately on rebooting it doesn't.

I get three quick beeps followed by a pause while the floppy drive is
accessed then two more beeps. The motherboard manual does not mention
what the beeps mean so I assume the BIOS is stuffed.

Does anyone know of a way to re-flash the BIOS with the backup I made
prior to updating it in the first place?

Any advise would be appreciated.

Regards,
Christopher.

I swapped my AGP video card with a PCI one and I am now getting video.

When I boot I see a checksum error in BIOS and the system boots from the
floppy.

I run flash864.exe a:\<BIOS backup filename> and the programs menu appears.

In the menu I see the file name of the BIOS backup but now none of my keys
seem to work.

I press enter a number of times without success and no other key seems to
work either. I am unable to exit the program.

Even at the a:\ prompt the caps lock and num lock keys don't work, it
seems like most "extra" keyboard functions are not active.

Is there a way to specify on the command line that the program should
flash the BIOS specified on the command line without user interaction?

Or is there something on the boot disk that I need to include to get full
keyboard support.

Never flash bios on an overclocked mobo...
