I am running 2 x 75 Gb WD Raptors - Striped on Sil3112 Chipset and
would like to install 2 x 250 Gb WD SATA’s on the ICH5R Chip. I would
like to run them as individual drives. When I connect them and
re-boot, the bios recognises them but not the Raptors with the OS on
and the boot ends with asking for cd.
- I have updated to the latest stable bios - FJ
- I have looked for the (SCSI) boot option under advanced settings and
though the bios shows it in the help section on the right hand side it
does not show up under the list of boot options when selected.
- I can access the 250’s when pressing (Cntrl-I) which would allow me
to set the disks up in Raid etc. This also shows that the drives are
bootable.
- I am running a DVD burner on IDE 1 as Master, A CD Burner on IDE 2
as Master.
-Win XP Home
-P4 3.0 Prescot HT
-1 Gb (2 x 512mb PC3200 pair HyperX) ram
-ATI Radeon 9600XT 128mb
Any help would be much appreciated.
