I want to upgrade my harddisk of my laptop.
I did copy the C and D partition to the new disk with Partition Magic
When I have the disk external it does boot on this new disk.
When I put the new disk internal it states I have to reactivate XP.
So I choose Yes on the pop up window.
Then it does log me of and I come back with the startup Type Contro_Alt_Del to begin.

How do I start the activation of XP in this case?

Thanks for help.
Paul

Try it by phone if you can't activate over the Internet. Do you even get to
that point (where you can choose)?

That is just the point.
To activate I need some programm to start and give me the phone number and the code to give to the
people answering the phone
But if that programm does not start from its own how do I get Windows to start it?

Sorry for the Typo in the subject
