It seems that all of the USB adapters for infrared and
bluetooth that I can find support only USB 1.1. Am I looking
in the wrong places or is this the "state of the art" or
something?

My guess would be it is because IR is only 4Mb and doesn't need to be faster
then 1.1 standard of 12Mb. Not sure the Max speed of Bluetooth, but I would
think it would be the same reason. I notice that my Bluetooth Ethernet says
it is only 1Mb, so I don't think it needs the 480Mb of USB 2 either.

But that is my theory...

I know. My bluetooth dongle is working (after a fashion) at
USB 1.1 on my USB 2.0 ports. I was wondering why only USB
1.1 support for these devices. Eric's explanation (that
infrared and bluetooth can't use the extra speed of USB 2.0
anyhow) seems logical.
