umax astra 6400 scanner

Does anyone know how to make an astra 6400 scanner by umax work on a
computer running windows xp?

If so, can you please provide easy instructions?

I've just looked at the prices - total cost $63.50! Something tells me that
the OP will be opting to purchase a new scanner...You can pick up a
Perfection 1240U for under $40! You could really push the boat out and pick
up a 2480 Photo for $60. The latter has been receiving rave reviews.

I was able to download the updates for the software from the Europe and/or
the Orient web sites.
