Several times a day my PC freezes for a up to 10 seconds even when doing as
little as playing an audio file. in Windows Media Player. The music might
stop for a few seconds before resuming. or I can be using any application &
the mouse might freeze. This happens even when the CPU is almost at zero.
I have Pentium 4 2 GB & 1 GB Ram.

I also have another problem that may or may not be related to the first.
The screen has started to occasionally pulsate. My that I mean it
monetarily shrinks then resumes it's original size. This happens maybe 3
times an hour. The monitor , motherboard & power supply are all less than 2
years old. Any ideas as to what the problem might be?

Sounds like you might have a virus, what software are you running.

I don't have a virus. I have the latest Norton's in place & I always keep it
up to date.
