a while my friend... and see thanks to sopa, and patient wars the internet and technology hasn't changed hardly at all in 20 years
we don't even have a space program anymore really
Not quite playable over dial-up but it's close. I'm not unhappy because if it worked better I would probably spend the rest of the day playing it (and Spear of Destiny) instead of getting the rest of my work done.
So who wants to join me in making a FPS that has the clout and imagination that Wolf 3d had 20years ago?? Huh, whos coming with me, lets do this, Ill quit my job... tonyc79 at gmail
What a great game this was. I remember it being the main reason for my start down the computer gaming path. This and Commander Keen, Crystal Caves, Duke Nukem (the platformer one). Great memories.
Wolfenstein 3D wasn't the first 3D FPS for Id. Hovertank 3D and Catacomb 3D (which I remember playing) were earlier. Wolfenstein itself is inspired by Castle Wolfenstein which I played on an Apple II.
steam is selling this game for $1.25. Ive never played it and thought of buying it, but now Im confused. is Valve trying to cash in, or is the steam version any different?
