Problem with Canon s630

My S630 printer worked perfectly until two weeks ago. Now it prints
distorted. Type and images are sort of spread out. On a page of type,
one line will be ok, and then on the next, the first few letters are
printed speard out over an inch or two. Next 3 lines exact same
behavior, and then a good line, etc.
I have installed the newest drivers.
I have done numerous cleaning operations.
I have changed the ink tanks.

Anyone have any ideas here, or is this a dead printer??
